I have a confession. I don’t choose purple over other colors just because I lived in Baltimore for seven years… the city that *bleeds* purple. For a football team. Where the tickets cost about as much as we pay for a month’s worth of groceries. Oh geez.
Nope. I choose purple, because it’s pretty. And I’m a girl. And I like pretty. *Feeling a Forrest Gump moment here*

1 fresh purple plum, pitted (don’t peel – the skin will fleck during blending and add a really pretty aesthetic to the sauce)
1 fresh clove garlic
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon ground chia seeds
1 teaspoon sweetener
3/4 teaspoon soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions: place everything in a blender and *blend* until smooth. If you have the time, allow the sauce to thicken (on it’s own) for 30 minutes – or even overnight. If you’re short on time, nuke (microwave) it for 15 seconds. Stir well. Then, microwave it again for 15 seconds and stir well afterwards. Allow to cool before using.
Makes: around a 1/2 cup
